Where the VIN is
In Croatia the VIN is printed on the EU registration certificate, field E. On the car it is at the bottom of the windshield and on the door pillar; all copies must match.
Inspection mileage
Technical inspection stations, under the Centar za vozila Hrvatske, record the mileage; the readings from before the import are only in a foreign history.
Imported cars
Damage and mileage recorded in one country do not show on the papers of the next. A report that searches several countries at once closes that gap.
Used cars and vehicle records in Croatia
Croatia has no car plant, so every car on its roads was built abroad, most of them in Germany, France, Italy or the Czech Republic. Many used cars are imported from Germany and Austria.
