Where the VIN is
In Estonia the VIN is printed on the EU registration certificate, field E. On the car it is at the bottom of the windshield and on the door pillar; all copies must match.
Inspection readings
The Transpordiamet register keeps the mileage from Estonian roadworthiness tests; earlier readings from Finland or Germany are not in it.
Imported cars
Damage and mileage recorded in one country do not show on the papers of the next. A report that searches several countries at once closes that gap.
Used cars and vehicle records in Estonia
Estonia has no volume car plant; most used cars come from Finland, Germany and Sweden. Since 2025 Estonia charges a registration fee and an annual tax on cars, which pushed some owners to sell.
