Where the VIN is
In Serbia the VIN is printed on the saobraćajna dozvola (registration certificate). On the car it is at the bottom of the windshield and on the door pillar; all copies must match.
Damage abroad
Cars imported after an accident abroad can be repaired before registration; the foreign damage record is the only trace.
Imported cars
Damage and mileage recorded in one country do not show on the papers of the next. A report that searches several countries at once closes that gap.
